Global Lunch: Is there room for diversity in academia?
The speaker of this Global Lunch is Nils Hallvard Korsvoll. This autumn he became a part of The Young Academy of Norway, an interdisciplinary organization for young researchers dedicated to research policy and dissemination. Nils Hallvard will talk about the research conducted by the Academy on Diversity in Academia, that aimed to investigate how young researchers view and experience internationalization, discrimination, and harassment. The results suggest a need for additional measures to ensure equal treatment of all employees in Norwegian academia.
Nils Hallvard Korsvoll is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Education at UiA. His main research area is the joint history of Judaism, Christianity and Islam in the Middle East and Europe the first thousand years after the common era.
Finger food and coffee/tea will be served.
